In 1969, the Mini was restyled and the replacement for the Cooper S was born in the form of the 1275GT, the GT was only in production for a relatively short period of 10 years until 1980 making it the rarest of Mini models.

This late 1980 model year example is finished in sumptuous black paintwork with the original deckchair material interior, three clock dash, Sundym tinted glass and a fantastic Britax weathershield sunroof ordered from new. The period look is completed with the original and correct wheel trims/wheel set up shod in new modern tyres.

This GT has received a full ground up professional restoration resulting in a like-new driving experience. The original engine and close ratio gearbox have been fully rebuilt by industry specialists with some minor upgrades offering an unforgettable, exhilarating seat of the pants experience.

The market and collectors alike follow the adage ‘First year and last year’, with production finishing in Aug this example is very late car registered in December.
