What is it?

Launched in 1997, the mid engined Porsche Boxster (986) set new standards for two seater open sports cars offering a full package of performance, handling and unmatched stopping power. The Boxster quickly became the yardstick by which all other sports cars were judged

What’s it got?

This 2000 model year example comes with the 222BHP 2.7 flat-six motor mated to a manual gearbox,  finished in Lapis Blue metallic paintwork and graphite grey interior with winged sports seats.

All functions operate correctly including the ice-cold air conditioning, the  stereo system and all LCD displays are perfect with no failed pixels.

The electrically operated convertible double skin blue mohair roof fitted with a glass rear window presents in superb condition and operates smoothly.

How does it drive?

The 2.7-litre Boxster is arguably the definitive everyday Porsche – its lively throttle response and supreme road confidence are suited to a wide range of driving abilities.

A Legendary chassis, slick gearbox, howling mid mounted flat six and power brakes offer serious performance and appealing value for money.

Well maintained throughout its lifetime, this example comes with a comprehensive service history record  from new using main dealer and specialists with a file of supporting receipts and a stamped service book along with all the old MOT certificates.

The most frequently seen engine issue of a dry rear main oil seal (RMS) has been addressed with recent invoices identifying a new clutch and rear main seal replacement along with a water pump and drive belt.

The car retains its original amber lights which were often changed to update to the later facelift style. The black Porsche leather wallet is present containing all handbooks, guides, dealership point of sale material as well as the original hardback marketing literature for the Boxster range.
