2012 Range Rover TDV8 Westminster Edition

What is it?

The Westminster TDV8 L322 comprises an accomplished, comfortable, plush long-distance cruiser with very few obvious rivals. Capable in all conditions, this car is the perfect winter vehicle solution.

The Range Rover L322 was launched in 2001 and lasted until 2012, when it was replaced by the L405. Throughout the production run, Range Rover offered a number of special edition models, including Vogue and Autobiography, amongst others.

One of the most desirable of these ‘specials’ is the Westminster edition

Considered a ‘last edition; this high specification model arrived in 2012 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the L322. It replaced the Vogue and SE models, marked out by what Range Rover called a ‘Noble’ look.

The Westminster extended the already significant luxury credentials of the Range Rover, with a wide range of features, options and toys ‘for everyone on board’.

What’s it got?

A Westminster edition can be spotted thanks to the aforementioned ‘Noble’ look. This gives the car chrome front grille and side vents, Titan silver lower splitter bar and fog lamp surrounds, 20-inch alloy wheels and Westminster badging.

Inside the doors have illuminated tread plates, whilst the luxury continues with plush carpets, Grand Black lacquer trim and bright finished pedals. The front seats are both heated and cooled, with a 19-speaker audio set up powered by a 1,200kw harm/kardon Logic7 surround sound system; managed by Range Rover’s Dual View infotainment screen.

How does it drive?

With the refined 4.4 litre TDV8 engine, it pulls like the Flying Scotsman! The powerful 4.4 LR-TDV8 makes 313PS and a massive 700Nm

With combined fuel consumption of 30.1mpg, this made it one of the most powerful and economical diesels in the world mated to a super-efficient ZF eight-speed automatic transmission with full time 4WD.

To aid the day to day experience there’s Park Distance Control, Rear View Camera, Memory Seats and Steering Wheel and Rear View Mirror and of course, a heated, Leather Trimmed steering wheel.

For bright, fresh winter days or glorious sunny drives this car also benefits from an electric sunroof.

Why this one?

Someone else has swallowed the depreciation pill, back in 2012 the list price was £69,995 making this look like a veritable bargain at the price shown.

This Santorini Black with black Leather example was bought new by a private family and remained as  one owner example. Condition-wise, both the interior and exterior are immaculate.

Supplied new to Lookers Land Rover in Sept. 2012 it has always been serviced within the main dealer network, save for a couple of latter invoices to a local specialist garage. It also benefits from recent discs and pads.

Coming with all the original keys and leather document wallet containing all documents and the original supplied stamped service book this cosseted Range Rover will delight enthusiasts and collectors alike.
