What is it?
Quite simply, Renaults finest hour. The Renault Sport Clio Trophy 182, to give it its full title, was the final development of the 182 Cup car. It was cheap, pretty and it went like the clappers.
Powered by a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated inline-four engine coupled with a five-speed manual gearbox, the car produced 182bhp offering 0-60 in 6.7s and a top speed of 140MPH. Weighing just over a ton, the chassis and suspension offer legendary handling and grip levels making it the best hot hatch of all time!
Whats it got?
The Trophy’s party piece were the bespoke Sachs dampers which have been fully refurbished to as new quality along with a pair of NOS rear shock absorbers.
The superb Capsicum red paintwork remains unique to the 182 Trophy in Renault Sport’s lineage to this day.
The interior is in superb, original condition, the Recaro Trendline bucket seats sit 10mm lower offering exceptional support, the carpet is protected by the original Renault Sport floormats.
The 16-inch Speedline alloy wheels have been recently and professionally refurbished in the correct anthracite colour, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tyres.
