What is it?
Presented in its original factory specification, this Rover Mini Cooper Sportspack was registered new on 18th April 1997. The car has remained in single ownership and has covered a mere 16, 000 miles, a unicorn of a car!
Finished in the original gleaming British Racing green paintwork with a contrasting white roof door mirror covers and the iconic John Cooper bonnet stripes.
What’s it got?
The Sportpack specification included 13” x 6” Sports-style Minilite alloy wheels, body-coloured extended wheel arches, a chrome tailpipe finisher, new shock absorbers, a strengthened rear subframe, four spot lamp and subsidiary oil temperature and battery (voltage) gauges.
The stone beige ‘Balmoral’ trim and black carpets present in superb order, the full length walnut six clock dash with Magnolia dials and the original Rover cassette player complete the superb interior.
How does it drive?
Fabulously! We have undertaken a huge recommission to include, full brake overhaul to include new discs and pads, handbrake cables, full suspension overhaul, new Yokohama tyres along with full service including all fluids.
MPi fuel injected Minis are reliable making them a great choice for regular use, taller gearing for long distance cruising further the usability. Minis of this era come with drivers airbag, side impact beams, alarm and immobiliser.
Why this one?
Finding an original Mini is a big deal, the shell presents in superb original condition, even retaining the original body number on the front slam panel. The sills, floors and boor floor are in superb condition having been waxoyled from new.
