S918SLD was imported new in 1998 as a parallel Grey Import as the STi Sport wagon was never officially available in the UK, making this original, low owner example a rare car.

In 2019, the enthusiast owner, discussed the options for a bit more power, in the trusted hands of Chevron Motorsport of Stafford, they embarked on the build of a forged engine at a cost of £4500 to produce a reliable 360 BHP without compromising drivability and reliability. The gearbox was rebuilt at the same time using uprated bearings.
